this annoying new feature cost me a good client

I have a iphone 6+. I bought it because is has a big clear screen and, being a photographer by trade I wanted the big screen to better show my images to clients when it was not appropriate to pull out a full size laptop. Apple added a needless screen that can be drawn on to the text messaging feature. When I set the phone down to type a text it automatically goes to the draw screen so I have to hold it upright in my hand to type a text. The draw screen has canned messages all around the margins. While messaging a good client I inadvertently touched one of the canned messages, “Thinking of you” and it was sent to my client whose wife read it and thought we were having an affair. I brought my phone to the Apple store and they said the only way to disable that draw screen is to disable the rotation function. Uhm, I bought the damn phone to show clients photos, and I should not have to go into my settings to enable and disable the function every time I need to show a photo. Apple is most annoying when they add features I don’t ask for that I cannot disable.
