It is 2018, and get this, when I do an EXACT SEARCH FOR AN ITEM in the FINDER (that’s what they call it), THAT ITEM STILL DOES NOT SHOW UP!
What does show up is every random reference to that set of words, INCLUDING INSIDE OF TEXT FILES AND OTHER APPS! WTF does the FINDER NOT PRIORITIZE AN EXACT MATCH? WHY IS THIS NOT A SETTING in PREFS, EVEN IN ADVANCED, WHICH IS NOT ADVANCED. I SWEAR TO GOD THIS IS SO STUPID!
Beyond that, voice memos on my iphone. Forget transferring them anymore. I have to fucking upload them to Google drive, and then download them.
Speaking of GOOGLE DRIVE, I called APple and talked to them about iCLOUD, and the support person was smart and basically admitted what a piece of sheit system it was. I joked they should hire me to spearhead a revamp of the entire service. Apple had a great off of 10 month for 2TB to use the icloud, but SO WHAT! THere’s no viable way to control your folders in iCLOUD!
GET THIS! THERE IS NO FILES APP (great name, btw, it doesnt show up in search) for DESKTOP, ONLY ON IPHONE. GET THIS, FILES does a GREAT job of working with GOOGLE DRIVE but NOT ICLOUD!
I really want to get away from the stupidity is APPLE, but the alternatives are not great.
